Point of Single Contact

To make it easier for companies selling services to expand within the EU, every EU country has established points of single contact that are part of the EUGO European network. Here it is possible to:

• find information about which requirements are valid for various service operations in the EU countries

• contact the authority with responsibility for a specific service operation

• find application forms and forms for other formalities

• find information about advisory organizations in the respective countries

• find information about solving conflicts.

One place for all authority contacts

The Point of Single Contact for services should be the only place a company needs to visit in order to contact all the necessary authorities for doing business with another EU country. The company can carry out all its obligations digitally via the contact point, for example: registration of the company, applying for a permit or making a notification.

All EU countries are obliged to establish a national Point of Single Contact for services, in accordance with the Service Directive. Some contact points are still to be launched and all the countries will be trying to make their contact points more user friendly. Several countries have information about their Point of Single Contact in several languages.

The Swedish Point of Single Contact for services

In Sweden, the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth, the National Board of Trade and the Swedish Consumer Agency are responsible for different aspects of the Point of Single Contact for services.

The main Point of Single Contact consists of a web function that is built into the www.verksamt.se - the Swedish business link to government agencies. This website is run by the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth.

The Swedish Consumer Agency provides information for service recipients and consumers on its website.

The National Board of Trade is responsible for a service function that supplements the website. This is where you, as a service provider or service recipient, can have your questions about rights and responsibilities in the Service Directive answered, and also get help in finding your way around the Point of Single Contact Internet functions.
